Hi, You don’t specify what sort of music you started playing. I.E. music resident on your iPod or music from a stream on the internet. If the latter your iPod is merely working like a remote telling the Sonos where to go to stream the content. As such it needn’t remain powered up for the music to continue. It is not working like a bluetooth device whereby the iPod is sending the sound to it. I hope that clarifies; and if I’ve misunderstood perhaps someone else will take a shot at it. Hello list I started apple music on my sonos play3 from my iPod and then I switched the iPod off and to my surprise the music keeps on playing. The advantage is that I do then not consume iPod battery life. I tried this from my pc with the same result. I did not read this in the sonos manual, so I wonder if it is a known fact?
