Maybe one day Apple will make a phone with Face Id and Touch Id, it's probably
wishful thinking, but that would be perfect. Especially in winter I find myself
very often unlocking my iPhone with Touch Id while it is in my belt holster or
coat pocket and of course with Face Id that is no longer possible.
We recently purchased a Schlage Sense smartlock so when I go across the street
and into my driveway I can reach under my coat or into my pocket and easily
unlock the phone with Touch Id and since I usually have my wired EArpods
connected when I'm walking I can invoke SIRI and say "Open the front door" and
usually by the time I'm a few steps away this happens and I walk in.
With a Face Id phone I would have to pull it out of the pocket and do the Face
Id thing before I could do this and you can't unlock the door with a locked
phone because of security reasons. This is one thing I really like about Apple
products and the accessories that work with home kit, I can tell SIRI to turn
on my front door hallway light with the phone locked, but I can't unlock the
door so of course if somebody stole my phone who knows where I live they also
could not do so.

Regards,
Sieghard

Congrads on your choice. I myself don’t like the bulkyness of the plus models,
so the iPHone X size is perfect for me. I have compaired the sizes though.
The x is slightly larger than the 4.7 models, and slightly smaller than the
plus models. What makes the screen bigger is the home button area, and the ear
piece being closer to the top edge. They are both great phones. I myself like
the faceID, and the accurracy of it. Guess I have to find another buyer for my
iPHone 8!lol
