Hello,
When you open the updates section in the app store try doing a three finger
swipe down to refresh it. I have noticed that in order to get apps to show up
that need updating I have to do this in iOS 11. Sometimes it will look like you
have no updates but when you do the refresh the updates will show up.

Regards,
Greg Wocher
