I’d go ahead and change it in the pronunciation dictionary and see if it holds. It is treating it that way because of the period after it. I cannot remember all the stings in the pronunciation area, but maybe you can fix it there.

I looked in Pronunciation, but I don’t think it will work to change it there. The word is “coop”. if it’s in the middle of the sentence, it correctly says “coop” as in the place where chickens are kept. However, if the word coop is the last word in a sentence, VoiceOver wants to assume it’s the abbreviation for “cooperative”.
