Yes, and the same goes for Android, yes, you hear about its volneribilities and how fractured it is with a tiny percentage of even new devices getting the latest updates, but mostly that is in the tech press and among techy people. The vast majority of average users who are not techy enough to maybe install updates themselves and who depend on getting them via their carriers end up with phones which are totally behind and where the OS may have security issues which even if patched in later versions these people will never get. Apple always seems to be held to a higher standard.
