It only asks about one or two seats when requesting a shared ride. Actually, the shared rides aren't that bad. Usually I haven't had a shared ride, and when I have, it was only one other passenger, and they were on the way. Nothing like paratransit.

The savings make it worthwhile to consider, even though you don't save as much when there are two of you.

When booking your Uber Pool trip, and I'm assuming the same will be
true for Lyft Line, you will be asked how many seats you will need.
The choices are 1 or 2. Once you have made the selection, the rest of
the booking process is the same.

I have used both, but now use lyft pretty much exclusively. Prices do vary,

even on the same trip. Prices are generally higher during the evening, but last evening I took a trip on Lyft during a time when the price is usually
higher, and it wasn't, so go figure. Also, when using lyft Line or Uber
Pool, the price for the 2nd passenger can very from 39 cents to $1.50.

I use Uber several times per week. Both Uber and Lyft are extremely
easy to use. As far as pricing goes, when there is extremely high
demand like Sieghard mentioned, Uber goes into Surge Pricing. You will
be told of the higher prices when booking your trip and given an
opportunity to cancel or continue. I have heard from others that Lyft
does has Surge Pricing every so often, but my friends say that Lyft
may not have as much Surge Pricing and Uber does. I don't know for
sure since I've taken Uber quite heavily the last few months. Also, if
you frequent one or both services often enough, you will get emails
and notifications about discounts for the week, such as half off the
first 10 rides. You can schedule a ride in advance with both services.
I have done this on both, but I like the notifications you get in
advance of a scheduled trip on Uber better than Lyft. Uber gives you a
notification at 30 and then 5 minutes before your scheduled trip,
where Lyft only gives a text or notification 10 minutes before.
Regarding getting the driver to help you, Uber and Lyft are like
paratransit services, where they are technically just door to door, or
curb to curb service. I have asked some drivers to help me inside a
building or to find a specific place, but not all will be willing. If
they do, then I am sure to give them a better rating and even a tip at
the end. And you can tip with Uber and Lyft. This is one other thing
that Lyft does better. You will get an emailed receipt after each trip
on both services, but Lyft is good about telling you how much your
trip was before you tip. Uber does not do this. I have to look in the
menu, then Your Trips, then I can find out how much my ride was. Both
services are great over all and worth the trouble since they can help
to increase your independence and flexibility when traveling around

I have the Lift App on my phone. But I've never used it. From the looks

it, the App seems pretty accessible.

I have a friend who uses Uber, and he says it's accessible.


Is 1 App more accessible than the other?

Also, are there much differences in the prices of trips?

And how do you put in information when you make a trip with either App?

For instance, if you may need some guidance to the building.

Also, does either App do a round-trip sort of deal?
