Wonder what setting causes the iPhone to ding or chime, I don’t think I have ever heard a sound after a download.

I was attempting the app download directly on my iPhone 7 where I'll usually get a ding or some sort of chime tone after a successful download. When I tried getting the app later in the day, I had no problems. Thanks for the replies. In fact I just bought an app within the past hour and had no problem at all. Could your download be going to a difrent page than where you're looking for it?
