Hi, Everyone. Never mind ... my goof. I was positioning the bill so the long side was toward me. It wants the short side to be facing the edge of the table, and it doesn't matter whether the bill is facing up or down--I'm assuming there's a top and bottom, like a coin has a head and tail side. It recognized both my $1 and $20. Yay.
