Thanks. I understand. I was wondering if it was one of those speakers where you
pushed one of the buttons and it would switch between devices.

Thanks again for all your help.

Yes, you can connect up to three devices. When you have VoiceOver on all three
devices, it can get a little bit confusing. Whatever device is outputting sound
will take control of the speaker.
The steps I gave above were to enable what’s called party mode. This means you
can have more than one speaker connected via a chain of sorts. The speaker that
is hooked up to the phone is the master speaker, and the other is the sleeve.
So, you could put the other speaker in another room.

My wife, Denise, and I have a speaker. When I cook out, she likes to connect
her speaker to mine and we have full coverage. I am outside, and she is inside.
It is pretty neat!

Hi,

Thank you. I just need to clarify. The app is an IOS app? For now I have just
the one. Also, I thought that they could connect on up to three devices, e.g.,
your iphone, ipad and computer? Is that not right?

Hi Denise,

First, you will need the JBL Connect app to rename your speakers and to update
the firmware.

Next, here are the buttons from left to right:

Bluetooth

Volume down

Volume up

Power

Shuffle

Play/pause

On the power button, there is a small button on the right side of the power
button. Press that button on each speaker to have the audio simultaneously
play all three speakers.

As for your question about using the speaker to answer calls, you press the
play/pause button to answer.

I hope this helps.

Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone owned the JBL 3 Charge speaker? If so, I was
searching for an accessible copy of the manual, but could not locate it. Absent
that, what I am actually looking for is how to connect to three devices, and
switch back and forth between the three. I also wanted to know how to use the
speaker as a speaker phone when connected to my iPhone. Thanks in advance for
any help.
