Tom and listers Yes Whatsapp does indeed have a way to lock the Record button: 1.-Duble-tap and hold, while you begin talking as usual; after about 3-5 seconds, flick up and let go of the button, at which point it should stay locked. To look someone up on Whatsapp, first you need to add him/her to your regular phone contacts, and if from within the New Chat icon, you find him/her, then you're both on Whatsapp. Hope this helps some.
