If you say “Earpods” do you mean the wired Earpods or are y ou talking about the bluetooth “Airpods”? If you are talking about Airpods, I just posted a reply to Karla who also had a question and my post has a link to an Apple support article which explains in great detail how to use all the features of the Airpods and what sort of behaviour to expect when you use a single one or both or when you remove one and all that.
