Hi Anthony, You can configure your airpods to activate Siri, play-pause, or previous track or next track. I have my left one configured for previous track and the right one configured for next track. I use Overcast for podcasts and have it configured to interpret these commands as back 15 seconds and forward 15 seconds. Audible also uses the commands this way.
To configure your airpods, go to Bluetooth, find your airpods, and double-tap the More Info button following their name.
