Hi John, Here is what I do to delete episodes if your really don’t want them there.
1. Double tap on shows. 2. Find the name of the podcast feed in which you want to delete the episode from such as the AppleVis podcast. 3. Now go find the episode you wish to delete. Double tap here. 4. Now use your router to select more. 5. Swipe right until you find remove from library and outlet tap here. You will have to double tap again on delete.
