The 5S I use as a second line I'll sometimes use to stream music via Pandora if
I'm working out or as a timer and during baseball season to stream the A's
games. When my wife may be visiting her family in Germany to facetime, but
other than that, it doesn't get much use outside of business calls.
If you can score a refurbished or used iPod on the cheap, then I guess
depending on the price it might make sense, but I definitely wouldn't pay full
retail price or anything close to that for one at this point. Besides, they
haven't been updated since 2015 I think. The only one worht even considering is
the sixth generation which is the only one to be a 64 bit processor which is
probably going to be the last one anyway.

Craig, I too have an extra iPhone which I kept for those same reasons. In the
beginning I used it, but now I hardly ever use it. My iPhone ate is so much
faster and I just think it would be a waste of money for you.
