I am using the Original Focus 40 Blue which, I am delighted to report, is functioning flawlessly with the current commercial release of iOS. Anyway, you cannot use the cursor routing buttons to custumize commands, but you can use the hardware keys along with any combination of keyboard commands for your assignment. So you still have a lot of things you can do. A bit off the point, but are you using the Focus 40 5th generation? I ask, because I'm having some issues with iOS 11 and that specific device concerning chorded commands.
