Since it seems that several people are having the same issue, should this be
reported to apple?

God bless!

Hi,

I'm having this issue as well. I'm running an iPhone 6 under iOS 11.2.5 with
an Otterbox Defender case. What kind of case (if any) of the other people with
this issue using?

Thanks,

Marshall

Now Arnold, if you start caressing your old phone I think you need to seek help
immediately *smile*.

For the person who is having the issue, make sure your screen is clean and that
you don’t have a case which interferes with the area where the proximity sensor
is located which as far as I know is just above the cut in the glass where the
earpiece is.

Regards,

Sieghard.

I don't know why it is doing this, quite honestly, I figured it was just my
iPhone 6, it is getting old. But when it does it, take it away from your ear,
and if I can use this word in conjunction with a phone, caress the place that
goes against your ear a couple times quickly, and it will force the sensor that
is supposed to sense that the phone is against your ear to switch back to the
earpiece, and it should stay this time. I'm about to the point of doing this
caress before I even put it to my ear the first time, hoping it won't do that
switching in the middle of a call. I have more of a problem having it not
switch to the earpiece in the beginning.

Hi all. Is anyone having difficulty with the speaker randomly turning on while
the phone is at your ear. When it does this, I can’t always get it to turn
back to the ear piece even though I take the phone completely awayfrom my ear
and bring it back again. That speaker is really loud when it’s against the
ear, and besides, the rest of the world can hear both ends of the conversation.
Any help to resolve this issue is most appreciated. I’m using and IPhone 7
running IOS 11.2.5. Thanks.

God bless!
