I suspect that the music is being placed in a different folder based on some kind of meta-data issues. However, regardless, try using Playlists to organize your music. Other than the initial step of adding tracks to the playlist, once done, unless the source files are modified, the playlist will keep everything simple. My entire music library is based on playlists. Here's an example. Let's say I either buy Michael Jackson's Off The Wall album from Amazon or I rip it from an old CD, I manually create a folder with an appropriate name, on one of my network drives. Next, I copy all of the songs from the album into that folder. I have my iTunes set to not copy the tracks into the library but merely point to the original tracks. I do this in order to keep the size of my library manageable. I already have backups of my music tracks on various storage devices. Now, in iTunes, I have my library view set to show songs, in descending order, based on when they were added to my iTunes library. I do this so I can quickly and easily find new songs that I import. So, from within iTunes I add the Off The Wall tracks to my Library. In this instance, I do this by selecting the files menu, followed by selecting the Add Folder option. I don't remember how many songs are actually in the album but, for this example, let's say there are 10 tracks. Therefore, the above mention step will add 10 new songs to my Library and these songs will be located at the top of my songs list. Before I do anything else, I select all 10 of these songs, easily done since they're at the top of my songs list, and create a playlist named something like Off The Wall. Now I'm an old school kind of guy. This means that I want the songs of this playlist/album to be in the original LP order. This is totally unnecessary but I find that I often put old albums in their original play order. To do this, I find the playlist in my iTunes library and manually moves the tracks to where I like them in terms of play order. Finally, I sync the playlist to any or all of my iOS devices. With a specific album this would be the end of the story. However, I have a Juke Box playlist of my favorite singles to which I add new songs, from time-to-time. I created my Juke Box playlist back in 2007, on a Windows Mobile Phone. I started that list with only 17 songs. Now, after all these years, it's up to 144 songs. My, how time flies and how tastes change. (smile) I hope you find some of this useful. Hello Trey I have a similar problem using the iPod touch 6th gen but I have another problem. When I use apple music and I listen to an album and decide to download say the second and fourth song, then later when I decide to download the rest of the album the other tracks are put in another folder so that when I want to play the whole album the original 2 tracks are not there and I have to go back to the albums to find those 2 tracks. I do not know if this can be solved. I hope listers understand what I mean.
