Dear listers Have just gotten a new replacement iPhone 8 today and I have two questions.
1. How should I charge the battery for the first charge? I really want to get this right because my previous iPhone 8, I felt that the battery didn’t last at all long when using the speaker to listen to Podcasts, Audiobooks etc when at full volume. For every half hour, my battery drained down 8 to 10%. So again, I want to really get the first charge right to have the maximum battery health possible. With the previous 8, I just used it out of the box. So I can’t remember now if we need to: fully drain it and then fully charge. 2. Don’t know if this would be considered old school, but if I setup my iPhone 8 as new from iTunes, would this be better going forward? I actually, didn’t even backup to iTunes with the previous 8. Just set it up as new. No restore backup what so ever. My reasoning for considering the iTunes root. Is it a better method for starting brand new with an iPhone? Also, since nothing is currently on the device. At least it would then have an iTunes backup as well as an iCloud backup too. . Thank you all in advanced. Again, I really want to get this right the first time and not mess anything up with the replacement. Phone!
