ok, who exactly made the announcement? There was no press release from Apple (and they are the only bonified source on this).
btw, anyone who works for apple, is a contractor for apple or is a current beta tester for apple are under an NDA and any info they might leak can cause them significant legal trouble (including paying out lots of money for violating said NDA). Now, ZDNet carried a story detailing some of the items proposed in the new iOS 11.3 update, but no actual date was given for release.
