Hi,

Somebody asked earlier if there was a way to tell if an iPhone was a "new"
model or refurbished. Typically if an iPhone is replaced by Apple you will get
a refurbished phone, but since it's refurbished by Apple there is usually
nothing to worry about as they replace pretty much the entire innerts of the
phone and definitely the battery is going to be new. Anyhow, there is an easy
way to tell if your iPhone is a new retail model or refurbished, here is how:

1. Go to Settings > General > About
2. Find the "Model" information, it will say something like NKU61LL/A
3. Check the first letter of the model number, if it is "N" as in the example
above, the phone is refurbished. If the first letter is "M" it is a new retail
model.

Tip: if you ever want to know the "A" number of your phone, which is another
model number and which is also engraved on the back of your iphone, just double
tap on the model number and it will display that number. It is always the
letter "A" followed by 4 numbers. I have an iPhone 6S Plus GSM model and it
says A1687.

Best regards,
Sieghard
