Hello, list.

I have some questions about some apps I use for reading text and imaging
pictures. I am wondering which ones to keep and how to gain more confidence
in using them. This is one issue I have, along with the need to upgrade my
5S which I have had for four years and is physically falling apart, and
which I am having some capacity issues with. That process will be part of
another upcoming post.

I am listing these apps in order of size which they take up on my phone,
which will need to be upgraded as I already said, but that's another issue.

I will start with the K-NFB Reader, which I will keep as I have used it
fairly well, and have the greatest financial investment in. I am well aware
of the help resources for it.

Be My Eyes is next, which I have created an account for but haven't used. I
admit part of my problem is the social anxiety of dealing with a stranger,
and as a total its name reminds me that sometimes having a working pair of
eyes handy can be helpful. I think of myself as a well adjusted blind
person, though I haven't wanted to arrive at that in what some might
consider the conventional manner of certain types of acceptance.

Color Visor is good, and I have used it. I wonder if it will survive when I
finally do the iOS 11 upgrade.

The next one, Goggles, is an app I couldn't figure out how to get to work.
I think it's one of these video apps, but I am not sure. How would it help
if I could get it to work?

Be Specular is another one I picked up but don't fully understand what place
it could have. I am not sure what I have to do to set up the app and am
unsure how it works exactly. I seem to recall it has some similarities to
Be My Eyes, but works on a different principle.

iNote is one I use occasionally for money identification, and so plan to
keep it.

iDentifi is the one we heard about some time ago which came out of a
Canadian development project. I opened it up one time and couldn't figure
out how to get started with it. What purpose could it serve, and is it any
good? Do other apps I have serve the purpose better.

Tap Tap See I know is one that identifies objects by searching a data base.
I need help in gaining confidence with it.

Boop is one of two light detectors I have, and I can make it work, but I'm
wondering if I need two such apps.

I know Digit Eyes can help me with product information and works through
accessing a data base. I have the free version, but could use some help in
learning how to use it.

Light Detector Is the smallest of these apps, and I have had success with
it. Again, though, do I need two of these? I paid for this one, as opposed
to Boop.

I would appreciate it if someone could help me work through these issues.
