Nearby Explorer gives much more feedback than Google Maps. In fact, it gives similar feedback to Blind Square The advantage Nearby explorer has is that it also does turn-by-turn directions, while Blind Square just tells you about streets you are coming to and will give you some information about directions and distance to your destination. Now, Blind Square in combination with Google Maps gives both. It really depends on the user which way is best. Nearby Explorer is quite customizable.
