I am able to schedule recordings with no problems at all. You need to be using the pro version. After you have the alarm set, and the recording enabled, you have to double-tap options and choose clock display. Your device also needs to be unlocked and plugged in, for it to work. So if you have auto-lock turned on, you need to disable it in settings. Hope this helps.
