It’s been quite some time since I’ve had to do that, probably a year or so.
When I switched from a credit card to a debit card I had to reacquaint myself
with how to set the expiration month, date and year. The month, day and year
each had a picker item which appeared in the lower right corner of the screen
and, they each had to be dealt with separately. To do that, I would manipulate
the values in each picker item by flicking up or down until I reached the
desired value, then flick to the left and double-tap the Done button which
appeared immediately to the left of the picker. It’s critical to understand
that activating the Done button freezes the selected value in the picker,
otherwise you’d lose it when moving on to the next one, which is frustrating
and crazy-making. When I first encountered this situation years ago I almost
got kicked out of a taxi because the driver thought I was yelling at him.
Frankly I don’t know why Apple couldn’t just simply ask you for a date in
mm/dd/yyyy format or whatever is required in your location. I hope this helps
some.
