I use Colorinos - yes, s, plural. I have two, very dependent on them. The one from APHsounds really tempting, especially since people are saying that a standalone is more accurate than an app. You do not have to have a light on for the Colorino; it has its own light.
The reason that I have two is that I dropped one, and it didn't work right. Eventually, my husband got out his soldering iron and repaired it, so I do have two that are working. I keep one in the bathroom near my clothes closets and one in a drawer near the washer and dryer. I'd like to have an accurate one that I could take shopping with me whenever I go, which is not often, but if I'm there, I want to know what color, and design would be a real help.
