If you have a fairly new iPhone SE it is likely running iOS 11, but you can go to settings, general, about and read through all that and find out for sure. The current version is 11.3.1.
There is also a handwriting channel that is kind of amazing. If you get a card or something which is handwritten, with the handwriting channel, you can take a picture of it, and it does a surprisingly good job. There are money identification apps that do only that if you get tired of having to flick to the currency channel. EyeNote is one, or Money Reader. The way Seeing AI works is that it has what it calls channels. The channel picker is just above the home button. The first time you use the app, there will be an explanation of each channel when you flick to it, and you will have to close that preview to get to the next channel. This is only the first time through. Then when you touch the channel picker, and for example, it says Short Text, you flick up with one finger to document, then product, etc. I hope that gets you started. It is simply the best app for a variety of uses. I use it for any product bar codes, or for scanning text.
