Reggie, With focus on the Updates button in the Apps Store bottomline menu, go to the top of the listed applications and do a 3 finger swipe down to refresh the list. This used to happen automatically but a few iOS versions back it stopped refreshing automatically so you have to do this 3 finger swipe refresh.
