You can virtually control your iOS device right from the keyboard without hardly touching the screen.

I am a brand new user and was thinking about getting a blue tooth keyboard.
Other than typing, what else would it allow me to do? Would this mean that I
would still have to tap on the keyboard to enter, but would be able to text and
things like that.

That's not correct Chris. There is no keyboard command to equal to
double tap and hold. Other than that, and the custom labels feature, I
think pretty much everything you can do on the touch screen can be
done with the other devices. Other than jumping around given parts of
the screen.

No, I believe you can fully control your iOS 6 device using at least a
BT keyboard! Not sure about a Braille display though as I do not have a
supported one!

With the introduction of IOS 6, are there any gestures other than double
tap and hold which cannot be emulated either on a blue tooth keyboard or
refreshable braille device? If so, what are they?

Thanks.
