A helpful person with the lists did some checking for me, and it seems that the @group.io is blocked as several servers, like AOL, and my server said that for the time being, it must be "black listed," since none of the mail is showing on my web site emails. So, I hope time will solve the problem.

This log on doesn't have to be the same email address you use to subscribe to a particular group. One of the options in My Membership and Email Settings for This List under My Settings is to specify the email address you use to send and receive posts for the list. You could use a different email address for every group if you wanted to.
