Hi Kellly, The ringtone was in MP3 format, but unlike Simon I had no problems converting it to M4A using iTunes and then, after renaming the extension to M4R, I pasted it into my tones list in iTunes and it synced to my phoone where I am currently using it as a ringtone.

Apple imposes a 40 second length for ring tones. The big American carriers utilize only a 30 second ring. Also, is the MP3 in Apple’s m4r format?
