Depending on the kind of file it is, there should be a Share button. Double-tap that and use one of the options on the next screen to make the attachment accessible to the program you choose. If you have Volume on the rotor, you can turn the rotor to Volume and then flick up or down to change the volume. In general, though, I find it easier to use the volume buttons. As for saving files that you create, different apps handle this differently. With Notes, for example, the first time you open it, you have the option to turn on iCloud. If you do, your notes are saved by default in an iCloud folder and are accessible from any device you have that uses iCloud. I hope that helps.
