Hello Everyone,

In case you have not yet noticed, when a user attempts to view saved
shopping/wish lists in the Amazon App, an Invitation dialog box now appears
which prevents VoiceOver users from accessing any saved lists or any items
on any of those lists. This is most annoying, to say the least.

Please join me in requesting that Amazon resolve this issue as soon as
possible.

I have written both a bug report and a tweet regarding this problem. Please
feel free to use any or all of my words in your submissions.

Submit your request as an app review in the App Store, send a direct email
to customer service at
cs-re...@amazon.com, send a direct message to the developers on twitter at
@AmazonHelp, and tweet Amazon on twitter at @Amazon.

Okay, I will paste in both my tweet and bug report, below:

[BEGIN BUG REPORT]:
Subject: Major Accessibility iOS Amazon App VoiceOver Bug Regarding The
Visually Impaired Viewing Saved Amazon Lists

Hello,

As of today, Friday, August 31, 2018, those using VoiceOver, Apple's
software screen reading solution for the blind and low vision, in order to
access the latest version of the iOS Amazon app, cannot access any of their
saved shopping/wish lists.

To reproduce this bug:

1.
With the latest version of iOS installed on the device, make certain that
VoiceOver is enabled.

2.
Open the Amazon app.

3.
Select the Navigation Menu, located near the upper left corner of the
display.

4.
Select Your Lists. A dialog box appears, as an overlay, suggesting that the
user invite others to add or remove items from lists. When this invitation
dialog box appears, a VoiceOver user can neither dismiss the invitation
suggestion dialog box nor navigate away from it in order to access any
lists. Currently, the only workaround is to disable VoiceOver, which a
blind person would not do, dismiss the dialog box using standard iOS
gestures, then re-enable VoiceOver. Assuming that this work around has been
employed, continue to the next step.

5.
With the invitation dialog box dismissed and VoiceOver once again enabled,
select View Lists.

6.
Select a private list to which you have previously saved items. A dialog
box appears, as an overlay, suggesting that the user invite others to add or
remove items from lists. When this invitation dialog box appears, a
VoiceOver user can neither dismiss the invitation suggestion dialog box nor
navigate away from it in order to access any items on the list. Currently,
the only workaround is to disable VoiceOver, which a blind person would not
do, dismiss the dialog box using standard iOS gestures, then re-enable
VoiceOver.

I fervently request that this significant iOS Amazon app VoiceOver bug be
resolved as soon as possible.
[END BUG REPORT]:

[BEGIN TWEET]:
In the latest version of #iOS @Amazon app, the #VisuallyImpaired, using
#VoiceOver, can't view saved lists when the invitation dialog box appears.
I'm asking the AppDevs to fix this bug ASAP. @AmazonHelp
[END TWEET]:

Thank you all for your help on this one,

Mark
