I don’t follow your logic here. The iPhone X cost the same or would if it was 
still out there, as the new XS. The new phone has a much better chip, better 
cameras and apparently also a better display. So why in heavens name does Apple 
want to keep around the X win for the same money, you could get the XS? And the 
XR, which is cheaper by 200 and some dollars, is also better in many respects 
than last year‘s iPhone X. It doesn’t have the OLED display, but it does have 
the better chip, supports more bands, which is a big deal if you are at 
T-Mobile subscriber, and has many of the other features of the new phones. So 
it seems to me that the strategy makes sense. There is just no reason to keep 
the iPhone X around when it has been surpassed by all of the new phones. It 
doesn’t fit.
