Hi I am not sure what groups you are looking for. If you mean the groups that you belong to then you need to go to your Facebook page to locate groups. I cannot see what is written on the tabs along the bottom of my Facebook app but it reads newsfeed, requests, watch, market place, notifications, and lastly More. It says More when you touch it. Simply double tapping on it will take you to your Facebook page where you can view your profile as well as your groups, friends, saved items, and on this day etc. etc.
Am not sure if this helps and am not sure where you are currently tapping on Facebook. I am using the app on my phone but it appears the same way on my IPad. I am not sure if I am running the same version of that app that you are.
