First, you slide, not swipe. Now that is out the way, if you slide up from the bottom edge of the screen until you hear the second sound, slightly higher in pitch than the first one, this should bring up your home screen. Slide up further, again from the bottom of the screen, until you hear an even higher pitched sound, this should activate your app switcher. Let me know how you get on then I will post the other gestures if necessary.
