Do you mean from the lock screen? If so, just swipe down once on the message to "View", then double tap and you have the full Messages experiences with edit field, keyboard and, if it's an iMessage, the Record Audio Button and all of that without unlocking your phone. Of course as soon as you type something the "Record Audio" button becomes the Send button.
