Hi Max, If you don't have iCloud turned on for messages on your old phone, do that, and turn it on on your new phone. Then all your messages will be available.
If you don't have iCloud Keychain on, your email passwords wouldn't have been copied across. I would suggest logging into your email accounts on your new phone, and any messages on your email server should be copied across.
