I can sort of understand why music might not play on the tinny little Apple Watch speaker, but spoken voice should, after all, Voiceover does.

I tried it yesterday and at first when I tried to sync a book from the Audible app on my phone to the watch it said it was doing it, but on my watch it never showed that a book was available. Finally at some point it did say a book was available, but hopefully others will join me in writing to Audible because in order to listen to a book on the Apple Watch you have to use a bluetooth headset, you cannot play the book via the watche’s external speaker which I think is a really stupid limitation. I wonder if Apple imposes such a limitation on audio apps, but if Audible has designed it this way I hope they change it because why would they not let me choose how I want to listen to my book?
