No, turning it off for 30 seconds or so is perfectly fine. You could try a reset network settings which sometimes can resolve issues where you think it has nothing to do with it. Just remember you need your WiFi password and reconnect to your WiFi after you do the reset network settings and if you have called your iPhone something like Casey’s iPhone you need to go to Settings > General > About and double tap on the name to change it again, during the reset network settings whatever name you gave it will be reset to simply “iPhone”.

So maybe I should power it off longer? Or is that not rebooting the phone? Would network settings fix that issue? Have you rebooted your phone to see if that fixes the issue? And I go to compoz and then when the two field comes up O put in his contact information to message him. Once I have done that I go do to record audio and then record my message. Well he does the same thing to reply to me. Now when listening to his messages they will play and then I will hear my phone say sorry there is something wrong with the app. Now I am running IOS 12 and he is not could this be why this is happening? I have turned I messages off and back on again as well and that didn’t fix it. So how can you correct this if at all? -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
