If the 2-finger double tap doesn’t work then using a headset might allow you to answer by pushing the button on whatever headset you have answers calls. If that also doesn’t work then I guess no and what Mario suggested isn’t complicated, it just required you to go into Settings > Notifications > Whats App once and to make sure that under Banner style you check to see if it says “Persistant” and not “Temporary”. Temporary banners go away after a few seconds, persistent banners stay at the top of the screen under the status line until you do something with them. You can also unselect “Allow as banner” and I think then if Whats App rings it pops up on the entire screen rather than just being a banner at the top. All of this applies when the phone is unlocked, also make sure that “Show on Locscreen” is selected.
If you use Whats App regularly with a friend maybe when you are in the same room together just experiement because I am pretty sure a 2-finger double tap works for me, I can definitely use it to hang up a Whats App or Skype call and I thought I used it to answer WhatsApp calls before, I am usually ther one who calls more than I am being called on Whats App so I don’t know when I last tried it.
