Problem there is no voice. I have iTunes, but for some reason it is so
darned screwy. Can't find anything in it. Going to look again and download
the latest, if there is one for Windows-XP, hoping things will straighten
out. Hoping so as I was playing with voices this morning trying to get
Australian voice. Put Siri and VO both in Australian but the voice would
not come on. Turned the phone off and on, nothing only the English American
compact voice, which I had turned off in VO. Then tried to switch back to
Samantha, or whatever HQ voice's name is, and after resetting Siri and
language rotor I am still getting American compact voice, though it is still
turned off in VO. Totally, utterly frustrated, and no eyes to turn back on
my device if I reboot it with home and power switch. Until that is fixed,
I am stuck with compact voice I guess unless I can get iTunes to work on my
computer without messing up everything else, and then I will need exact
instructions on what to do. Never wanted to use iTunes, but I think that is
my only choice. Just checked hoping HQ voice was back after slocking the
screen. No, compact voice. Even with hearing aids I cannot totally
understand it. I want my Samantha back, and I will never again play with
languages!

You can actually do a reset *as long as you know you have a backup either on
ICloud or Itunes.* It gives you a scary message about having to purchase all
your apps again, etc. but if you have (preferably) several backups to choose
from, it will ask you to find one and select it. Then things should function
normally.

shuts down Voice Over and even turns off the triple-tap home feature. Made
that mistake once. Have let Apple accessibility know, and hope others do
too.
