Hello Sarai,

Here is what I think is happening.

It appears that you have the original A T & T unlimited, or legacy unlimited,
plan. That plan, which is no longer offered, cannot be bundled with current
services.

Now A T & T does offer new unlimited plans that, for example, among other
things, allows you to use your phone as a hotspot but, to take advantage of
this, you must let go of your old unlimited plan.

I have been struggling with this decision, myself, so I know of what I speak.
(smile)

Now you may be wondering why anyone would continue to hold onto the old,
legacy, unlimited plan. The answer is a little complicated but, in a nutshell,
because of FCC rulings, in the past, A T & T cannot throttle anyone on the
original plan. So, should you decide to opt into any of the new unlimited data
plans, at some point, the speed of the data will be throttled. In A T & T's
defense, the amount of data one is permitted each month, at high speed is more
than reasonable but ..

I don't remember the throttle threshold but I think it's around 22GB per month.
As much time as I spend online, using my data, I have never used more than
0.5GB a month. Okay, maybe once, I went as high as 1GB.

This entire subject is somewhat fascinating because Verizon offered the same
plan, back in the day but, because they were not specifically mentioned in the
FCC ruling, they were allowed to simply bump people off of their old legacy
plan. At that time, Verizon didn't even offer a replacement unlimited plan.

I’m certain that A T & T would have loved to have done the same but, the FCC
would not allow it. As a result, A T & T cannot simply bump all of us
old-timers off of the only remaining truly unlimited data plan in the country.
They can, however, isolate it from other service features and increase the cost
of the plan, as they have done several times, now.

At some point, you will have to decide if hanging onto the legacy data plan is
worth it to you or not.

As for me, as I am both a Verizon Wireless and tMobile subscriber, with many
options available, I have decided to hang onto the old A T & T legacy unlimited
data plan a little longer. (smile)

I hope this helps clarify things, a little.

Mark

Subject: apple watch series 4 ATT users?

Hi all:

Are there any ATT cell phone users out there?
I have my own cell phone on ATT unlimited data. Just bought a stainless steel
apple watch, series 4.
I go to set up cell service and it wants me to put the watch on a separate line
for an additional 25 dolars a month. Its not letting me do the $10 a month fee.
Help?
