Fantastical is hands-down better for VoiceOver than the native calendar app. Many of my sighted friends, once I showed it to them, also use it because the features and layout are so much better. If you have an iPad, be sure to search for iPhone apps as the iPad version costs twice as much and doesn't work as well with VoiceOver.
