When you touch near the top, does it say "day ticker?" If so, swipe down with three fingers and it should switch to giving the month, and then you will have it laid out like a print wall calendar with Sunday through Saturday across from left to right, and the days then also from left to right, and the lower have will be the "reminders" which is anything you have on your calendar or as reminders.
