Have you tried asking Siri for the weather, and then pressing volume up to make sure Siri volume is not zero. Sometimes it’s confusing if it’s Siri speaking or Voiceover. I doubt you’d confuse Voicever and Siri, but if you’re using the same voice for both, I could see where this might happen.
Of course, make sure you are connected to the internet, as Siri won’t work when you’re offline, but I presume you are online, as you say the screen has the info, which I take to mean the info you requested of Siri, and not justthe appearance of your request.
