Have you tried asking Siri for the weather, and then pressing volume up to make
sure Siri volume is not zero. Sometimes it’s confusing if it’s Siri speaking or
Voiceover. I doubt you’d confuse Voicever and Siri, but if you’re using the
same voice for both, I could see where this might happen.

Of course, make sure you are connected to the internet, as Siri won’t work when
you’re offline, but I presume you are online, as you say the screen has the
info, which I take to mean the info you requested of Siri, and not justthe
appearance of your request.

Good luck with this, and let us know what you ultimately find out works.

Keith

First of all I suggest that he simply reboots his phone and tries again.
Of course he can also first check in Settings > SIRI to make sure everything is
where it should be.

Hi All,

A friend just updated his iPhone 8 Plus and Siri hasn't worked since doing so.
Sounds / volume are at 100% and all other settings would indicate that Siri
should work. When prompting to do something the info appears on the screen,
but Siri isn't verbalizing any of it. Can anyone help with his problem? All
help will be appreciated. Thanks much.
Take care. Mike. Go Dodgers!
