That's an interesting one about which I did not know.

On the other hand, I am having consistent results with the 3-D gesture. Hold
your thumb down, along the very left side of your screen, maybe in the middle.
So the left middle, if that makes sense. This is consistently working for me to
bring up app switcher.

Me too!✋🏻 Using the 4 finger swipe to move from one app to another in the app switcher
works for some apps but not others. I have found consistency in the order of some apps in
which the swipe gesture doesn’t work. For example, I can’t swipe from Facebook to the
VoiceDream app or vice versa. Nor can I swipe from Ordit, a game app to Safari or vice
versa. But if VoiceDream & Ordit are not in the app switcher I have no trouble swiping
from Facebook to Safari., even if there are other apps in the app switcher in order between
Safari & Facebook. This leads me to think that the problem is within the VoiceDream
& Ordit apps.

I was so hoping that the four-finger horizontal swipe to move among open
applications problem where when swiping past the last open application would
drop the user to the home screen would be fixed in iOS 12. Instead of fixing
it, I can't get this gesture to do anything. Everyone tells me it works on
their phones, I must be doing something wrong. While this is probably accurate
and correct in the majority of cases (ha ha), not this time. I have had others
try the gesture on my 8 Plus with iOS 12.1, VoiceOver running, at least two
applications open, and it does absolutely nothing. Does anyone else have this
problem? Has the gesture been changed and I just missed it in the release notes?
TIA
