using a pc and a program like Thunderbird is probably the best way as
you can filter mail by keywords and such and delete them all at once.

Hi,
All I can say is go into the mail app then hit eddit and at the bottom of the
screen is a mark all button. An alert will pop up and you have to hit the mark
as read button. It won’t fix your storage issue but that’s all I can think of.

Hi all,
Before I pose my question, I’d like to apologize up-front for the off-topic
nature of this question, but frankly I’m not sure where to go with this, so
please bear with me. Please, no flames.
All right then, here goes. I’ve had a Gmail account since 2007 and, like many
people out there, I’m on a number of moderate to high traffic e-mail lists.
There’s not enough time in the day to manage all of it so, as a consequence, my
inbox, along with lots of other folders, has accumulated thousands upon
thousands of unread messages. This is painfully or occasionally laughably
evident every time I see the mail icon on my iPhone’s home screen. It says I
currently have 93,890 unread messages, and I don’t even want to think about all
of the read messages that have accumulated over the past twelve years. When I
log on to the Gmail web page it says that 54% of my allocated storage has been
used. So I need to find a screen reader-friendly way of doing a slash-and-burn
number on my inbox and all other folders/labels. I couldn’t figure out a way to
do this using the native app on my phone or the Inbox app either, nor could I
figure out how to do it at www.gmail.com using Safari or using JAWS or NVDA on
my laptop. I have correspondence from friends and family that goes back a few
years that I want to keep. I figure everything else prior to, say June of this
year can get trashed. So, anybody got any ideas? Thanks in advance.
Tom
