Last summer at the ACB convention I took some training with Microsoft
Soundscape, which I think is the MS app you were asking about. As part of
the training we located and walked to a nearby hotel, and because it was a
demo, of course it worked perfectly. Well, the next day I decided to try it
myself walking to a nearby restaurant. The app indicated that I was walking
toward the restaurant, but I couldn't locate it. When I finally asked a
passer by where the restaurant was, she said that it was behind me, and
apparently i was walking away from it. The thing that you have to remember
about all of these apps is that they do not replace your basic mobility
skills.

Subject: iOS navigation apps
What are your most recommended navigation apps? More specifically for
walking navigation.
I know Apple maps and Google maps have walking directions, and I am
familiar with Blind Square. How about the one from Microsoft?
The apps you use on a regular basis to get around.
Thank you,
Traci
