Hello, No it does not do ketone. The freestyle libra has a sensor you place on the back of your arm. It has a small needle and very strong adhesive. Once the sensor is applied and adjusts to your body, you can then use either the meter that comes with the libra or your phone to scan the sensor. It uses NFC. Yes the iPhone app is accessible.
