Sorry, not sure if I mentioned this, but I am using an iPhone 6S Plus with the
iOS 12.1.1 public beta, whatever the latest Audible update is and I have a
series 2 Apple Watch with WatchOS 5.1.1.

Subject: Re: Synching Audible book on to Apple watch

Well I did some looking around the forums to see what others had to say on the
Audible watch  App.

Everybody has had problems whatever the phone or watch model and the advice
provided by Audible themselves is contradictory. There is a suggestion to turn
off WIFI on the watch as the App uses Bluetooth but others say turn Bluetooth
off on the phone to force it to use WIFI which is faster.

A second point to come up is that there is a two stage process, which isn't
visible using Voiceover, an authentication stage and the transfer itself.  If
the watch is locked before the transfer stage starts the process hangs.  But
putting it on the charger as recommended locks it.

So all in all it is a pretty dismal start for a new App and thats not to
mention the Voiceover inaccessability issues.

So as others on the forums have said the best course of action is to delete it
off the watch and wait until there is a clear indication in a future Audible
App upgrade that the watch App has been fixed!
